Refund Policy

Terms and Conditions

All contracts formed between Sofa On Your Choice and the customer for the purchase of items shall be governed by English law, and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.

Returns and Inspections

If you return a sofa claiming it to be defective, our technicians will inspect and verify the issue.

  • If the sofa is found to be faulty, you will be entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

     

  • If the sofa is not found to be faulty, it will be returned to you, and you will be charged the transport costs. The sofa may be held until full payment for return transport is received.

     

Availability and Delivery

  • All sofas are subject to stock availability.

     

  • If an item is unavailable, we may suggest alternatives of similar quality and price.

     

  • Delivery dates are approximate and may be subject to delays beyond our control. We are not liable for costs or losses caused by delivery delays.

     

  • Please allow sufficient time for delivery before arranging installation or disposal of old furniture.

     

  • Delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.

     

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring correct size, colour, and access into their property.

     

Refunds & Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, repair, or compensation if sofas are:

  • Faulty

     

  • Not as described

     

  • Unfit for purpose

     

This applies whether purchased at full price or in a sale.

Cancellation Policy

  • Orders cancelled within 14 days of placement will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

     

  • After 14 days, cancellations are not permitted.

     

  • “Sold as Seen” sofas are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

     

Online & Distance Orders (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

If you buy from us online, you may cancel your order and request a full refund within 14 days of receiving your sofa.

  • If your order includes multiple items delivered separately, the 14-day period begins from the date the last item is received.

     

  • To cancel, you may refuse delivery or follow our returns process.

     

Exclusions

The right to cancel or return does not apply to the following, unless faulty:

  • Made to Order Sofas – customised to your specifications (fabric, colour, size, or finish).

     

Sofa Policy

  • Once a sofa has been unwrapped, assembled, or used, it cannot be returned unless it is faulty.

     

  • Refunds or exchanges are only possible if the sofa is faulty, damaged on delivery, or not as described.

     

  • If returning a sofa, it must be unused, in its original packaging, and in a condition fit for resale.

     

Order Amendments

  • Items cannot be added to an order once placed – a new order must be created.

     

  • Items cannot be removed once placed – unwanted items must be returned after delivery.

     

  • Delivery addresses cannot be changed once the order has been placed (for security and fraud prevention).

     

Made to Order Sofas

For bespoke or Made to Order sofas:

  • Changes or cancellations must be made within 48 hours of placing your order by emailing us at info@sofaonyourchoice.co.uk with your order number.

     

  • After 48 hours, cancellations and amendments will not be accepted.

     

Returns After Delivery

If you wish to return a sofa after delivery (excluding Made to Order sofas):

  • We will refund the cost of the sofa excluding delivery charges.

     

  • Deductions may be made if the sofa shows signs of use, is missing parts, or the packaging is damaged.

     

Faulty or Damaged Sofas

Your statutory rights remain unaffected. If your sofa is faulty, damaged, missing, or not as described, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement.
